It has been a brilliant start for India on Day 4 of the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia.

Manu Bhaker and Heena Sidhu just added two medals to India's tally with wins in 10m Air Pistol shooting event.

Earlier in the day, weightlifter Punam Yadav finished top of the podium in Women's 69kg event with a combined lift of 222kg (Snatch 100kg + C&J 122kg).

Yadav failed to lift 122 kg in her second clean and jerk but sealed the gold medal with 122 kg in her third attempt. It was finally a walk in the park for Yadav who won comfortably. England Sarah Davies went for a 128 kg to defeat Poonam but failed to lift it cleanly.

Apolonia Vaivai from Fiji who was leading after snatch ended in the third spot and had to be content with a bronze.

Punam Yadav had earlier won bronze in women’s 63kg weightlifting at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
