In a shocking exposure for BJP, BJP MP from Bellary, B Sriramulu, has reportedly been caught on tape in a sting operation.
In the tape, he is allegedly talking about paying Rs 160 crore to bribe a Supreme Court Judge in a mining case. Sriramulu, who is taking on chief minister Siddaramaiah from the Badami constituency in the May 12 Karnataka assembly polls, was caught making the offer to the judge’s son, Karnataka Congress social media in-charge Srivatsa said on Twitter.
Sriramulu is a close aide of scam-tainted mining baron G Janardhan Reddy. When criticized for Reddy taking part in electioneering, state BJP chief BS Yeddyurappa had said the former minister was campaigning for his friend B Sriramulu and not for the party.
Commenting on the Sriramulu links with the Reddys, Srivatsa said: “Bellary Reddy Mafia caught again.”
Srivatsa posted another tweet, citing a media report, he wrote that the deal was made to “reopen their illegal mining activities”.
